Prof. Lei Zhou

Fudan University

Zhou Lei received his PhD in Physics from Fudan University, Shanghai, China, in 1997. He then went to Institute for Material Research in Tohoku University and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology for postdoctoral research. He joined Physics Department of Fudan University in 2004, is now Vice President of Fudan University. He got the NSFC "Grant for Outstanding Young Scientist" in 2007 and was entitled "Chang Jiang Scholars Program" Chair Professor in 2010. He was an elected Fellow of OPTICA (2019), APS (2024) and COS (2024), a co-editor-in-chief of Photonics Insights and Optics and Photonics Research. He got many prestigious awards including the highly competitive National Natural Science Award of China (second class, 2019). He has published over 250 papers in journals such as Nature Materials and Nature Nanotechnology, was cited by over 28000 times (Google Scholar), and was a Clarivate world-wide Highly Cited Researcher in 2019-2024.

Prof. Jingbiao Chen

Peking University

Prof.Jingbiao Chen is a Boya Distinguished Professor at Peking University and Deputy Director of the Institute of Quantum Electronics. He is also recognized as an Advanced Individual in Industry University Research Cooperation Projects at Peking University. Additionally, Additionally, he serves as Standing Director of the Chinese Society for Measurement; Member of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Quantities and Units; Member of the Time-Frequency Technical Committee under the Chinese Society for Measurement; Member of the National Metrology Technical Committee for Time and Frequency; and Standing Director of the China Computer Automated Measurement and Control Technology Association. He is in charge of the national science and technology major special project “the Precise Scientific Instrument Industrial Chain”. His primary research interests cover quantum precision measurement, high-precision atomic clocks, frequency-stabilized diode  lasers and other related fields. He ranks first worldwide in the number of granted patents for Faraday lasers dedicated to quantum-precision measurement. To tackle the severe critical industrial bottleneck of China’s high-precision semiconductor laser industry chain, which features weak domestic industrial foundations and over 95 % reliance on imports, he pioneered worldwide the technical scheme of Faraday lasers as well as the principles and methodologies for active optical-frequency atomic clocks. These achievements have been successfully industrialized and deployed, addressing the domestic bottleneck restricting high-precision frequency-stabilized diode lasers in China. He has presided over more than 20 major research projects, including the Major Research Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National High-Technology R&D Program (863 Program), the National Basic Research Program (973 Program), the National Special Project for International Science-and-Technology Cooperation, and the National Program for High-end Scientific Instruments. The total actual received research funding exceeds 400 million RMB.

Prof. Jingguo Zhu

Institute of Microelectronics of Chinese Academy of Sciences

Zhu Jingguo is a researcher at the Institute of Microelectronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a doctoral supervisor. He serves as a member of the Academic Committee of the Institute of Microelectronics, Deputy Director of the Optoelectronics Center, a council member of the Chinese Optical Engineering Society, Deputy Secretary-General of the Special Committee on Laser Technology and Applications, Deputy Director of the Second LiDAR Subcommittee of the International Digital Earth China Committee, an executive member of the Intelligent Vehicle Branch of the China Computer Federation, a member of the Laser Technology Subcommittee of the China Ordnance Society, and a member of the National Optoelectronic Testing Standardization Committee (SAC/TC487), among other positions. Over the years, his main research and development work has focused on LiDAR and optoelectronic integration technologies. He has organized the development of more than ten new optoelectronic systems for vehicle-mounted, ground-based, and airborne applications. His achievements have been exhibited at the "CAS Pioneer Achievements Exhibition" and the "70th Anniversary of CAS Achievements Exhibition." In 2020, he was awarded the First Prize of the Science and Technology Innovation and Invention Award by the Chinese Optical Engineering Society, as well as the LiDAR Innovative Product Award at the 6th National LiDAR Conference.

Prof. Baosen Shi

University of Science and Technology of China

Professor Bao-Sen Shi holds a Chair Professorship at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He has been awarded the Distinguished Young Scholar grant by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He is one of the pioneers in quantum information research in China. Over recent years, Professor Shi's research interests span quantum communication, quantum simulation, quantum metrology, photonic quantum technologies, and structured light field manipulation. He has also made a series of innovative contributions to quantum light source generation, high‑dimensional quantum memory, quantum interfaces, atomic sensing, and mid‑infrared detection, all of which have attracted substantial academic attention. Professor Shi has published nearly 200 papers in leading international journals, and holds more than 10 patents.

Prof. Xinghui Dong

Ocean University of China

Prof. Xinghui Dong works with the Faculty of Information Science and Engineering, Ocean University of China. He acts as the Deputy Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence, Director of Qingdao Key Laboratory of Smart Ocean, core member of the State Key Laboratory of Physical Oceanography and expert at the Second Affiliated Hospital of the Army Medical University. He has been selected as the “National Overseas High-Level Talent Introduction Program - Innovation Talent”. In 2021, he joined Ocean University of China. Prior to this, he obtained his Ph.D. at Heriot-Watt University in the UK in November 2014 and conducted research from 2015 to 2021 at the Imaging Science Center of the University of Manchester, UK, with Prof. Tim Cootes (Fellow of the International Association for Pattern Recognition, Distinguished Fellow of the British Machine Vision Association) and Prof. Chris Taylor (Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, OBE recipient, Fellow of the International Association for Pattern Recognition, Distinguished Fellow of the British Machine Vision Association). His research focuses on visual representation learning and image understanding, including image segmentation, object detection, anomaly detection, generative vision, and vision-language learning, with applications in industrial inspection, underwater and marine vision, and medical image analysis. So far he has published over 70 papers in prestigious journals and international conferences, such as IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TIP, IEEE TASE, Pattern Recognition, Ocean Engineering, ICCV, and ECCV, with 35 as first or corresponding author in top-tier SCI journals. He has been granted 10 national invention patents, with 3 pending, and registered 2 software copyrights. He has led 2 General Projects sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 theme of National Key R&D Program project, 1 Shandong Provincial Major Basic Research Project, and 1 theme of Shandong Provincial Key R&D Program (Major Science and Technology Innovation Project) project, while participating in 1 National Key R&D Program project. He also serves as a Senior Member of the China Computer Federation (CCF), member of the Science and Technology Committee of the Shandong Overseas Alumni Association, standing director of the Shandong Artificial Intelligence Society, director of the Shandong Computer Society, vice president of the Qingdao UAV Society, and editorial board member of the IMTS journal.
